Digital Photography - move beyond “Auto” with your SLR

This 6 week course is for those amateur photographers who want to make better use of
their digital SLR camera and understand its numerous functions. 

Classroom based instruction with your own camera is complemented with field work.  Bridge cameras with aperture and shutter priority functionality are also suitable for this course. 

Course content includes:

  • Manual and auto focus
  • Exposure compensation
  • Photo enhancement software
  • White balance & colour temperature
  • Light metering
  • Aperture and depth of field
  • Shutter speed
  • ISO / sensitivity
  • Aperture and shutter priority

Students should bring:  camera, manual, spare batteries, memory storage card and, if possible, laptop and computer cord/card reader.
